Provisions on the safe management of asbestos in Quebec’s Workplace Safety and Health Regulation include, but are not limited to: 
- Any asbestos dust or scraps with concentration of >0.1% are stored in a sealed container.
- Every building built before May 1999 must be inspected to localize heat insulating material containing asbestos
- Employers must take proper measures to control dust emission of asbestos before work
- Workers are provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).¹
