Yukon Provisions for the proper handling of asbestos waste include, but are not limited to:
- The difference between bound and unbound asbestos
- Bound asbestos includes floor tiles, ceiling tiles, drywall, insulation, shingles, etc.
- Unbound asbestos is regulated under the Yukon Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Site operators should avoid working in asbestos disposal areas.¹
